Harboured on the fringes of the Arabian Sea, JNPT, full form (Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust) also known as Nhava Sheva Port can be accessed through Thane Creek. It is worth mentioning that the name Nhava Sheva is derived from the names of the nearby villages of Nhava and Sheva.
